Israeli Metal Promoter Reacts To News Of Former VADER Drummer's Passing

August 20, 2005

Oron Tanami of Israel's Metalist Productions and magazine has issued the following statement regarding the passing of former VADER drummer Krzysztof "Docent" Raczkowski (a.k.a. Doc):

"I met Doc during a VADER visit for a show we produced on the 4th of June 2003 near Tel-Aviv. The band came for a week and I had some time to meet them more deeply while hanging around with them in some parties and local shows. I developed special relations with Doc, the guy that was carrying a bag of rumors behind him. One time when some fans wanted to join the van of the band while there was no room, someone started to yell at them and Doc immediately took control, took the fans to the side and explained them in the most friendly and human way that they just cant. When some girls came to him he told them politely that he have a girlfriend at home and when the support bands asked him to play on some of his equipment, he agreed without any second thoughts, not speaking about one time he just asked their sound technician to help and set up the sound for a show of a band we went to see together.

"These are only some small stories that might help you to understand what a great and human person he was.

"I was very sad and shocked to hear these news today. Only few weeks ago he sent me an email and wrote that everything is great and that he have some plans for the future.

"I would like to send my deep regards to his family, friends and fans."
